A species of evergreen woody plant in the fig genus, Ficus ginseng is indigenous to the floristic region of Malesia and the Malay Archipelago.
The magnificent aerial root is the reason behind the name which means “root” in Chinese. However, its lustrous dark green leaves are just as captivating.
